Many of us have no idea about our skin type and what should be used on the skin to get the glow and complexion like our favorite star. Try these tips to give yourself great healthy skin.

Tip 1: A dry brush exfoliation can be done in the morning before you shower. It eliminates dead skin cells, allows the skin to detox, and improves blood circulation. An added benefit is that the gentle pressure of the brush is calming to the nervous system. Be sure to use a soft, natural bristle brush.

Tip 2: Take a carrot, grate it and mix it well with one spoon of honey. Apply this mixture all over the face and leave it for 15 minutes. Now wash and feel the difference (once you do this on a regular basis.)

Tip 3: Mash a pineapple slice, mix it with the juice of an orange or a lemon and add these ingredients to wheat flour. Apply this mixture on the face and neck. Scrub it off after twenty minutes and get a fresh and smoother feeling skin.

Tip 4: Good skin is a reflection of a good digestive system. People with skin disorders such as acne, rosacea, and psoriasis often suffer from constipation, imbalanced "good" vs. "bad" bacteria, and other digestive conditions. The two most common sluggish digestion culprits are: not enough water and not enough fiber.

Tip 5: Whip an egg white until it gets peaks and store it in the freezer for about 15 minutes. Now add the juice of a lemon and a grated tomato to this. Apply on the skin for at least a month duration and you'll notice you have softer skin.

Tip 6: Mash one guava and stir it well with a mixture of oatmeal and lemon juice. Apply this on the face for about 20 minutes and wash it off to see a better skin glow.

Tip 7: Take a cup of raw spinach and pur'ee with one spoon of fresh cream. Apply on the face. Wait 30 minutes then wash it off to see the charming skin to support your great looks.

Tip 8: Take half grated fresh radish, one spoon of vinegar, one spoon of lemon juice and one spoon of honey and mix with a glass of distilled water. Store in a lidded bottle and wipe your skin regularly to shrink open pores and reduce oiliness and greasiness.

Tip 9: Avoid excess sugar! The more sugar we eat, the more sugar we have entering our bloodstream. Over time, this can result in a process known as glycation. The new molecules formed are called advanced glycation end-products, or AGEs. AGEs damage collagen in skin, cartilage, and ligaments and promote a loss of elasticity. Wrinkles form and skin begins to sag.

Tip 10: Mix one spoon of honey with the white of an egg and some grated potato. Apply this on the face and let it dry. Wash it off with cold water and feel the magic of fresh skin.

Tip 11: Mix together 50 grams of dried pea powder, lemon juice, one pinch of camphor and a little milk. Apply the mixture over the face and leave it for 15 minutes. Scrub the mixture off with milk. This is good for treating scars.

Tip 12: Eat flax seed oil and walnut oil. Mix with balsamic vinegar as a salad dressing. Be sure to keep these oils refrigerated. They should not be heated or used for cooking. Also try sardines which are a good source of essential fats. Salmon is another good source of beneficial oil.

Tip 13: Mix about 5 strawberries, one spoon of china clay and the juice of a small orange. Apply this on the face and scrub it off after about 20 minutes with a towel dipped in cold water.

Tip 14: Mix one grated tomato, one spoon of sandalwood powder and a half spoon of china clay. Mix again all these ingredients in rose water and apply on the face for 20 minutes. Wash it off to feel tightened skin.
